Mortlach Distillery(20 Sep 2007)
ウィスキーの聖地、Dufftownで一番歴史のあるMortlach蒸留所。その創業は1823年でGlenlivet蒸留所やMacallan蒸留所と同じ世代となる。
古い建物もあり、キルンのある建物が2棟残っていていろいろと写真を撮ってみたいけどビジターの扱いは最悪。まぁUD系の蒸留酒はどこでもそうだけど。
キルンのある建物は使ってないだろうからビジター用の設備を作ればお客さん来ると思うけど。
こういう蒸留所を訪れると鳥井信治郎さんの偉大さを思い出す。日本に帰ってから山崎蒸留所行こうかな。
Dufftown, the capital of whisky. There are 6 distilleries, 3 lost distilleries. Mortlach Distillery is the oldest distillery in Dufftown, established in 1823. There are old buildings, include 2 kilns with pagoda roof.
Tourists of the whisky enthusiast would be interested in Mortlach Distillery. However, they do not admit the entrance of the visitor. Though I think that many visitors would come to distillery same as some Japanese whisky distilleries if they have facilities for visitors.
When I visited such a distillery I reminded greatness of Shinjiro Torii, founder of Suntory Whisky. I wanted to go to Yamazaki Distillery after I go back to Japan.
Clock Tower in Dufftown(20 Sep 2007)
6年ぶりのDufftown、久しぶりに見たClock Tower。初めての海外旅行で選んだ目的地はここやった。前回よりもちょっとは旅を楽しめるようになったかな。
ハリーポッターの３作目、アズガバンの囚人では
"シリアスブラックが目撃された！"
"Dufftown? この近くだ！"
というホグワーツ城でのシーンがあったけど、近くに秘密の入り口があるかも。
I came to Dufftown after an interval of six years. Tower Clock, I watched after a long absence. The destination that I chosed by the first trip to abroad was here.
I think I enjoy a trip more than last time to come here.
In 1 scene of the movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,
"Sirius Black has been sighted!"
"Dufftown? That’s not far from here!"
Some students talked in Hogwarts.
Secret enterance of Hogwarts might be near Dufftown.
