    The End of Isle of Arran Tour(17 Sep 2008)



    15:40のフェリーは定刻通りLochranzaの港を出港した。初めてのアラン島の滞在は100分となった。バスが遅れなければもう少しいれたけど、キャンベルタウンに泊まってアラン島へ行く計画に無理があったような気がする。
    島に一泊するべきだったかなぁ・・・いや、グラスゴーからアラン島に来て、キャンベルタウン行ったほうが良かったかなぁ
    フェリーは順調に航行し、ロッホランザ城が徐々に小さくなっていった。

    The ferry departed from Port Lochranza on time at 15:40. My first visit in Isle of Arran was just 100 minutes stay. I was able to stay more in Isle of Arran if the bus was not delayed. But I thought the plan staying at Campbeltown and visiting Isle of Arran might have been difficult.
    Should I have stayed at Isle of Arran overnight, or should I have come from Glasgow before going to Campbeltown?
    The ferry was navigated smoothly and Lochranza Castle was gradually become small.

    Ferry! Come Ba—–ck!(17 Sep 2008)

    Claonaig

    Campbeltownからバスで約1時間でKennacraigに到着。キンタイア半島の東側にあるClaonaigへ行くバスに乗り換える予定だった。しかしなかなかそのバスが来ない。
    10分程遅れてようやくやって来た。フェリーに間に合うかどうか不安になる。
    Claonaigへ行く道路は細い一本道。そして対向車がよく通るのですれ違う時に止まるから気ばかりあせる。
    ようやく、Claonaigに着いた時、フェリーは既に海上だった。バスと連絡するという考えは全くないようだ。というよりも時刻表ではKennacraigからClaonaigまでの所要時間は15分となってるけど、スムーズに走ったとしても15分では絶対に無理な道のりだった。
    アラン島への道は険しい。

    It took about 1hour from Campbeltowng by bus, I arrived at Kennacraig. I was going to change to the bus which went to Claonaig, east side of Kintyre peninsula. However, the bus didn’t come on time.
    Eventually, the bus was coming about 10 minutes late. I really got antsy if I would be able to get on the ferry to Isle of Arran.
    The road to Claonaig was very narrow and when the bus passed cars on the opposite lane each other, the bus stopped. So I was irritated.
    When the bus arrived at Claonaig at last, the ferry which I was supposed to get on had already left a port. I thought there was no waiting to connect between the bus and the ferry in Scotland. Furthermore, the necessary time from Kennacraig to Claonaig was 15 minutes on timetable, but I thought it was impossible even if a car on the opposite lane was nothing.
    The way to Isle of Alan was very hard.
