Linkwood Distillery(1 Nov 2001)
初の海外旅行、初の蒸留所巡りも最終日。昼前のAberdeenへの列車まで時間があるので徒歩でLinkwood蒸留所へ向かった。
途中、古い橋や農場の横を通って美しいキルンのある蒸留所へ着いた。キルンを見ると、蒸留所へ来たという実感が湧く。
今回の旅は美しいキルンで始まり、美しいキルンで終わった。
It was the last day in Scotland. For me, it was my first trip to abroad and first trip to go to distilleries. There was enough time by the train to Aberdeen, so I went to Linkwood Distillery by walk.
The way to distillery, I passed by the old farm and old bridge. When I arrived at Linkwood Distillery, I saw really beautiful malt kiln. I think malt kiln is the symbol of distillery.
This tour started with the beautiful kiln in Strathisla Distillery and ended with the beautiful kiln in Linkwood Distillery.
Name of Distilleries(1 Nov 2001)
蒸留所の名前はその土地の名前が付けられることが多い。蒸留所がなくなっても、その名は通りや広場の名前として残っていることもある。
でもやはり両方とも残っていてほしいと思うのはウィスキー飲みの共通の想いだろう。
A lot of distilleries are named after the area name. If the distillery is lost, the name remains the area, for instance the name of street or river. However, I think I want to remain both of them forever.
